Installation is usually completed within 4–6 hours of booking, and same-day if you book before 12 PM. Our local engineer arrives with the fiber cable, ONT, and a dual-band router, and sets everything up end-to-end across Mohali and Chandigarh.

No. Installation, cabling, the router, and the ONT device are all included free with every plan — you only pay for the plan itself, with zero hidden charges or security deposits.
As per TRAI guidelines, you need one government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID) and one recent photograph for KYC. Our engineer collects everything at the time of installation, so there is no paperwork to submit in advance.
Yes. Upgrades start immediately and the price difference is applied as service credit; downgrades take effect from your next billing cycle. Just message us on WhatsApp from your registered number to make the change.
Yes — every price shown on our plan cards is inclusive of 18% GST. What you see is what you pay, with no extra charges added at checkout.
Yes. Choosing yearly billing on any plan saves you 20% versus monthly — effectively, you pay for 10 months and get 12 months of service. On the Family plan (₹499/month), the annual saving works out to roughly ₹1,200.
Yes. The Family, Streamer, and Pro plans include free IPTV access with 350+ live channels plus curated OTT bundles. There is no extra subscription for the bundled apps — they activate automatically once your plan goes live.
Plan speed is the speed delivered to your line; Wi-Fi speed varies with distance from the router, walls, and device capability. For an accurate test, connect via LAN cable and run fast.com. If the line speed is below your plan, raise a ticket and our engineer will diagnose it at no cost.
No. We never throttle, shape, or de-prioritize traffic. Your full plan speed is available 24×7 — including the 7–11 PM peak window when most ISPs slow down. This is one of our biggest differentiators in the Tricity.
The router we provide covers most 2BHK and 3BHK homes well. For larger homes (4BHK+, duplexes, or multi-floor), we offer mesh Wi-Fi extenders at a one-time fee that integrate with our router for seamless whole-home coverage. Ask the engineer during your site survey.
We accept UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), all major credit and debit cards, net banking, and digital wallets. You can also recharge on WhatsApp by sending a payment screenshot — our team activates the plan immediately.
All plans are prepaid, and you get an SMS and WhatsApp reminder 3 days before expiry. Recharge anytime via our website, app, or WhatsApp. If you miss it, service auto-pauses on the expiry date and resumes instantly once you pay.
Yes. All business plans come with a tax invoice that includes our GSTIN, so you can claim input tax credit. The invoice is emailed automatically after every payment; for backdated invoices, email support@mohaliwifi.com.
Average first response is 30 minutes on WhatsApp and about 1 hour on email. Tickets raised before 6 PM are typically resolved the same day, and for full outages we dispatch a local engineer within 2–4 hours depending on your location.
Yes — our WhatsApp support runs 24×7. Field engineers operate Monday to Saturday (9:30 AM–7:30 PM); on Sundays and holidays only critical or full-outage issues are addressed, while routine speed complaints resume the next working day.
No — the router and ONT are provided as part of your service and remain Mohali WiFi's property. If you discontinue service, the equipment must be returned in working condition; damage or non-return may attract a recovery charge of ₹1,500–₹2,500.
Yes. You can connect any router to our ONT device via LAN cable. However, our support covers issues only up to the ONT — Wi-Fi problems from your personal router are your responsibility. Most customers prefer the dual-band router we provide.
Replacement is free during an active subscription. WhatsApp us your customer ID and a photo of the issue, and an engineer visits within 24 hours with a replacement unit. If the damage is from physical mishandling or a liquid spill, a nominal replacement fee applies.
