01.

Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to or using Mohali WiFi internet services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and Refund & Cancellation Policy (collectively, the "Agreement"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all customers — residential and business — across Mohali, Chandigarh, and service areas. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into this Agreement.

02.

Service Description

Mohali WiFi provides fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband internet services to residential and commercial premises within our coverage areas. The service includes:

  • High-speed symmetric internet connectivity (download = upload speeds)
  • Truly unlimited data with no Fair Usage Policy (FUP) restrictions
  • 24×7 local technical support
  • Network maintenance and uptime monitoring

Plan speeds are "up to" speeds and may vary based on Wi-Fi setup, device capability, network conditions, and time of day. Wired connections typically achieve closer to advertised speeds than wireless.

03.

Eligibility & Account

To subscribe to our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, or Passport)
  • Provide a serviceable address within our coverage area
  • Provide accurate contact and billing information

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

04.

Payment & Billing

All plans are prepaid. Service is activated only upon successful receipt of payment.

  • Plan duration: Typically 30 days unless stated otherwise on the plan card. Custom durations (quarterly, half-yearly, annual) may be available with discounts.
  • GST: All prices on our website are inclusive of applicable GST (18%) unless explicitly stated.
  • Renewal: Service automatically lapses at plan expiry. You must renew before expiry to avoid disconnection.
  • Late renewal: Service is restored within 24 hours of payment receipt. No backdated billing.
  • Installation charge: One-time charge as quoted at the time of installation. May be waived under promotional offers.

For details on refunds, duplicate payments, and cancellation, please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

05.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the service for any of the following:

  • Any illegal activity under Indian or international law
  • Distributing copyrighted material without permission (movies, music, software, etc.)
  • Hacking, port scanning, denial-of-service attacks, or attempting to compromise other networks
  • Sending spam, phishing emails, or unsolicited bulk messages
  • Hosting commercial servers or services from a residential connection without prior written approval
  • Reselling or redistributing the connection to other premises or persons
  • Accessing or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Activities promoting violence, terrorism, or harm to others

Violation of the AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of service without refund. We may report illegal activities to law enforcement as required by law.

06.

Installation & Equipment

We provide all necessary equipment (ONT, fiber cable, etc.) for installation. The following terms apply:

  • Ownership: Equipment remains the property of Mohali WiFi unless explicitly sold to you.
  • Care: You agree to keep equipment in good condition. Damage due to negligence, mishandling, or unauthorized tampering will be billable.
  • Power supply: Power for the ONT/router must be provided by you (typical consumption: 5–10 watts).
  • Relocation: Connection relocation within the same premises is free. Cross-premises relocation may incur charges.
  • Return: Upon service termination, you must return all equipment in working condition. Failure to do so may incur a replacement fee.

07.

Service Availability & SLA

We strive to maintain 99.9% network uptime averaged over a calendar month. However:

  • Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance (we notify in advance).
  • We are not liable for outages caused by power cuts, force majeure (natural disasters, civil unrest), or upstream ISP issues.
  • Wi-Fi issues caused by your devices, walls, interference, or placement of the router are not part of our SLA.
  • For genuine connectivity issues, our engineers will visit within 30 minutes to 4 hours based on issue severity.

08.

Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your service if:

  • You violate the Acceptable Use Policy or these Terms
  • You fail to renew your plan before expiry
  • You provide false or misleading information
  • You engage in fraudulent payment behavior or chargebacks
  • We are legally required to do so by a court order or government authority

You may terminate your service by:

  • Allowing your current plan to lapse without renewal
  • Notifying us at least 3 days before plan expiry to mark the account for closure
  • Returning all equipment in working condition

09.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

  • Our liability for any service issue is limited to the prorated amount of the current plan for the affected period.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including loss of business, data, profits, or reputation — arising from service interruption.
  • We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. The internet is inherently subject to disruptions.
  • You are responsible for backing up your own data and securing your devices with appropriate firewalls and antivirus software.

10.

Privacy & Data

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

We comply with applicable Indian data protection laws, including the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and follow KYC norms mandated by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
